For most existing environmental, social and economic problems, there are already a tonne of people working on feasible solutions. It’s a real downside of our global media systems that they tend to focus on problems only – if they cover important issues at all – and the overly negative focus leads people to assume there aren’t good things going on. Worse still, conscious people can feel alone, like their the only one who gives a damn. I have to remind myself this sometimes, but actually, there are loads of amazing people working on amazing stuff all around the world.
