This woman is utterly amazing.
After writing my last post my faith in humanity took a bit of a tumble. After watching the above talk by the beautifully inspiring Majora Carter it was dancing in the sky. We all need a healthy dose of inspiration now and then and this is perfect. Her talk is emotionally charged and personal, but also smart and businesslike… Throw in a few funny bits and you’re there. Transformation of marginalized urban areas into green, people centered community spaces… What could be better? I love hearing about green city ideas because there’s literally so much scope. I’d love to be involved in a project like this.

I hadn’t seen this before, but it’s really inspiring. I recently watched a Day in the Life on Hulu about John Fetterman who is a small town mayor in PA trying to bring back his dying town and replace the crime. You may want to check it out, and you don’t have to be a member to watch it.
